Nigel and Shae Kinsman have been overseeing the renaissance of one of the Napa Valley’s most prized sources of old vines. First planted in 1989 by Ted Lemon, this Diamond Mountain vineyard was initially known as Reverie. Legendary for its steep slope and distinctive terroir, 1520 Vineyard is uniquely suited to Bordeaux varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. Planted on St. George rootstock, the old vines are still remarkably healthy, the vine rows following the undulating lines of the hillside.
